I’m Owen, a 20-year-old Mechanical Engineering student who loves technology. I help people all over Adelaide – from students and busy families to retirees and small businesses – with phones, computers, Wi-Fi, TVs and scam prevention. Everything is explained patiently, step by step, in plain English.

I come to you — no call-out fees, no hidden costs.

Hi, I’m Owen Cooper

A bit about who I am and why I started Honest Owen Tech Support.

I’m 20 years old and currently studying Mechanical Engineering at university in South Australia. I’ve always loved technology — I built my first computer at 17, started coding when I was young, and I’m the person friends, family and neighbours call when something “just isn’t working”.

A lot of that started with helping my grandpa. I spent countless hours fixing his TV, sorting out his phone, and showing him how to stay safe online. I realised how stressful technology can feel when you didn’t grow up with it – and how much calmer people are when someone patient sits beside them and explains things slowly.

Now I use those same skills to help anyone who wants calm, honest help with tech – from older Australians and families to students and home offices. That’s why I started Honest Owen Tech Support: to make technology simple, safe and stress-free for people across Adelaide. I come to you, take my time, and never rush or talk down to you.

What I can help with

Practical, everyday tech help for homes, students, families, small businesses and older Australians.

📱

Phones & tablets

Set up new devices, move contacts and photos, install useful apps, adjust settings and show you how to use everything confidently – whether it’s your first smartphone or your tenth.

💻

Computers & laptops

Email, web browsing, video calls, file organisation, basic troubleshooting and cleaning up a slow computer for work, study or personal use.

📶

Wi-Fi, NBN & TVs

Fixing Wi-Fi issues, drop-outs and slow internet. Help with smart TVs, streaming services (Netflix, Stan etc.) and connecting everything together at home or in a small office.

🛡️

Scam prevention & safety

Going through texts, emails and pop-ups together, explaining what is safe, what’s a scam, and what to delete immediately. Great for all ages, especially if you’re worried about online scams.

🖨️

Printers & “little problems”

Printer issues, things popping up on screen, lost passwords, strange error messages and all the other annoying little problems that slow you down.

🏡

Home, offices & retirement villages

On-site visits for homes, home offices, retirement villages and facilities: one-on-one help or small group sessions on staying safe online. Great for families and staff who want extra peace of mind.

Simple, honest pricing

No confusing packages, no call-out fees – just one clear hourly rate.

$80 per hour (charged in 30-minute blocks after the first hour)

Most visits take between 1 and 1½ hours. For many clients, that’s enough time to fix the main problem and go through a few questions at the same time.

How it works

Relaxed, step-by-step help that feels more like a patient friend than a rushed technician.
